Professional Wedding Officiant Services
Since the Justice of the Peace and the magistrates in most courthouses in Indiana stopped performing weddings, I've had the opportunity to become a full time wedding officiant. I went from performing formal weddings on the weekends to performing civil ceremonies, elopements and small weddings every day of the week. This page explains those options. The Legal Basics
There are certain things that apply to everyone getting married:
My Service Basics
There are certain things that I include in all of my wedding ceremony services. The $50 Quickie has less included and the Formal Wedding Ceremony Package has enhanced features. This is a list of basics for my $150 Wedding Officiant Services:
Elopements are some of the very sweetest weddings. The traditional, last minute, secret wedding where you can run off, just the two of you and exchange vows has definitely morphed into something bigger. Picking the perfect location, hiring a professional photographer. I LOVE elopements and I take them seriously! I've written several blog posts to answer any questions you might have about planning the perfect elopement in Indy! Check out my full page on Elopements here. I'm available for last minutes elopents if you want to get married today or to help you plan your perfect elopement ceremony whenever you'd like.
Somewhere between the elopement and the formal wedding is the perfect small wedding. It might be a last minute decision or well thought out.
Some Ideas for a place for a small wedding include:
Sometimes I slip in as a surprise over cocktails to marry you before dinner is served or it may be a holiday gathering or BBQ. Small weddings can be as formal or informal as you would like them to be. I travel to places far and wide through all of Indiana.
Civil Ceremony Service
Civil Ceremonies get the job done. A wedding is one day but a marriage is forever. In order to be legally married you need a marriage license. You need to apply and pick up the license from the clerk, have it completed with a wedding officiant and then file it with the clerk and obtain a certified copy for proof of marriage. Every legal marriage must go through this process. The actually romantic, religious or formal wedding ceremony is optional. Many couples just need to complete the legal paperwork today. Then, they may be traveling for a destination wedding, planning a traditional cultural or religious ceremony later or just need to get the paperwork done now so they can plan and save for the wedding of their dreams later.
I offer a very simple civil ceremony at Starbucks in Fisher for just $50. I'm available to meet you every day from 7am - 9pm. You can schedule an appointment up to a week ahead of time or call for a same day appointment. See this page for more details. You can also book a $50 Quickie here.
Other places I can meet you for a quick civil ceremony include:
Fees for my civil ceremony service is $150. You are paying for the convenience. It's up to an hours drive one way. You can save $100 by driving to meet me in Fishers.
I won't necessarily be marrying you in the clerk's office. I will be meeting you there and we will find a place nearby to sign the papers if they don't allow it in the building. If you have a specific place in the area that you would like have an actual ceremony or romantic elopement we can definitely do that! Just let me know where to meet you.
I live near the Hamilton County Clerk so the fee to meet you at the Hamilton county Clerk is only $80 - The same fee the magistrate charges. It's a 15-20 minute drive to where I meet at Starbucks in Fishers.
Formal weddings is what most people think about when getting married. A beautiful ceremony in a church or venue. The perfect dress and a large wedding party and a fantastic party to celebrate afterwards. As a professional wedding officiant I know that weddings come in all shapes and sizes. I've collected an amazing amount of wedding ceremony information and have put together so much more detailed formal ceremony information it has its own page (and complete websites). $ 450 Formal WeddingsClick for more formal wedding ceremony information here.
Weddings don't always need a rehearsal. So I charge for them separately. They do take as much time as the actual wedding so the price is the same, $150. If you are getting married in an all-inclusive venue or have hired a wedding planner or day of event coordinator they might be organizing everything for you and you don't want to pay for an officiant to be there. It's completely up to you.
I know that I will be able to come in and perform your ceremony with no problems. The rehearsal is so you feel comfortable and having everyone at the rehearsal may be very important to you.
I completely understand if you want someone special to you to perform your actual wedding, it's a very special, intimate, exchange for the two of you and your family and friends. But, you might want a need a professional to come in and run your rehearsal. I can come in and organize your rehearsal, walk you through your ceremony and make sure everyone feels as comfortable as possible before your actual wedding. You can book a rehearsal here. Or contact me for more information.
Vow Renewals are basically the same as weddings so you would book a regular wedding ceremony and we will customize the ceremony. Here are just a few options to look at to customize your ceremony. The price is the same, $150. Signing the marriage license is a very small part of the service. The cost actually covers time, travel and the performing the ceremony itself.
If you just had a simple civil ceremony to get legally married and now you are having a formal wedding, it's not really a vow renewal. It's a wedding. If you've already been legally married, just let me know. I won't tell anyone if you haven't.
You can book a wedding ceremony here.
If you book a wedding with me, I offer a free consultation to make sure we are a good fit and to go over the basics of getting married. I offer 6 pre-written ceremonies for you to choose from for a formal wedding as well as an entire website with more pre-written ceremonies and ideas for you to use to personalize your own ceremony.
If you want additional help personalizing your ceremony I offer this service. It's part of the $450 formal wedding ceremony package but you can also book it separately. If you are having a friend or family member perform your wedding ceremony or if you are that family or friend, I can walk you through the entire process and assist you with preparing for the wedding and the rehearsal. The fee is $150. Contact me for more info!
