If you live in Boone County, you can make an appointment to get married at the courthouse in Boone County. If you live in Boone County you need to apply for your marriage license with the Boone County Clerk in Lebanon. They will actually marry you for free!!! But the request a charitable donation in return. All appointments need to be made at least two days in advance. You can make an appointment to get married by the magistrate in Hamilton County. You don’t have to live in Hamilton County to get married there. There are 92 Counties in Indiana and you have to pick up your marriage license in the county you live in. Your county might actually perform marriages. They all can perform marriages, they just choose not to. I do know that Marion, Johnson, Hendricks, Hancock and Johnson County do NOT.
